IM or Internet marketing ties together both creative and technical aspects of the Internet. Through a variety of platforms, the intent is to drive traffic to the ‘money’ site. Utilizing blog sites, article directories, press releases, video sites, audio sites, search engine tools, etc.

Creating a plan of action and diligently following through, step by step, on a solid plan can increase your web presence, your site traffic and your sales. Below is just a few IM tips to get you going.

Actively marketing your website via search engines, by improving the site's organic  ranking through SEO, using PPC (Pay per Click) ads or PFI (Pay for Inclusion)  listings in site directories (similar to traditional off-line yellow pages)

Press Releases:
Submitting a newsworthy story about a company, its website, its people, and/or its products or services to an online wire service.

Article Marketing:
Written articles related to your business (or product) that are published online with article submission sites.  Articles spread around the Internet since the article services permit re-publication, provided that all original links in the article are maintained.

Email Marketing:
Often overlooked is Email Marketing. This can be a viable tool, used correctly. Just spamming a bunch of people will only serve to annoy them. However, a list of interested people who receive valuable information from you will not only read your emails, they’ll look forward to them.

Building a solid relationship with your list will serve you and increase site traffic, blog traffic and sales in the long run. There’s a variety of ways to build a list, sign-ups are our favorite, for example, signing up for a newsletter that provides useful content for the recipient.

When implementing an email campaign, use a reputable, permission-based email marketing company or maintain a subscriber list built into your website package. Ask us how.
